Clippers legend Blake Griffin announces retirement

Clippers Legend Is Done Playing

Arguably the funniest -and most exciting- player has retired.

Blake Griffin, who recently announced his retirement, was a problem in the 2010s.

This guy came into the NBA as a big, athletic forward who played at 160.9 km per hour (or 100 miles per hour for all of you who didn’t learn the metric system) and dunked on everyone.

But after a few seasons in the league, he learned how to be a versatile player who paced himself and this was when Griffin truly became scary.

Not only was he still posterizing opponents, but he was also knocking down threes, breaking ankles and throwing lobs.

This phenomenal play led Griffin to be the 2011 Rookie of the Year, a 6-time NBA All-Star, a 5-time All-NBA player and the 2011 Dunk Champion.

However, his story wasn’t all sun and shine.

His career was plagued with injuries. And despite playing with one of the best players in Chris Paul and for one of the top best teams in the Western Conference (Los Angeles Clippers) during that time, he never made it to the NBA Finals, let alone win a title.

But none of this takes anything away from what he accomplished in the NBA.

Griffin had a fantastic career -one that the majority of NBA players have never experienced- and brought so much joy to fans around the world.

So, I just want to say thank you for all of the great memories!
