When is LeBron retiring

The “LeBron Retirement” Prediction

Here is how LeBron James is going to retire.

LeBron James recently announced that he doesn’t plan on playing in the NBA much longer.

Via The Score:

“I’m not gonna play another 21 years, that’s for damn sure. But not very long,” James told The Athletic’s Jovan Buha after the Lakers’ 116-104 win against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. “I don’t know when that door will close as far as when I’ll retire. But I don’t have much time left.”

But what does this actually mean?

Is he going to retire at season’s end? Or is it going to be next season? Or is it going to be in 5 years?

No one actually knows (I don’t even think LeBron knows). So, I’m going to make an outrageously ridiculous prediction.

LeBron will finish out this season. The Los Angeles Lakers will probably lose in the semi-finals, if not earlier.

Then, the Lakers are somehow going to pull off a wild acquisition in the offseason, turning their team into a superteam.

They’re going to dominate the Western Conference in the regular season and gain a bunch of bandwagon fans. The media will praise them like they did with the Chicago Bulls back in the 90s, saying that the Lakers are one of the greatest teams to ever play in the NBA.

But then LeBron and company are going to struggle in the playoffs.

In the first round, they’re going to win in 6.

In the semi-finals, they’re going to win in 5.

In the Conference Finals, they’re going to win in 7 games by 3 points.

And then in the Finals, a quarter of their team will be banged up and playing hurt, and they don’t have enough firepower to win.

However, the Lakers will be able to claw their way to Game 7, where they lose by a pair of free throws.

After the tough loss, LeBron will contemplate retirement.

“Is it time for me to hang up my sneakers?” he’ll ponder as water glides down his face in the shower.

The NBA world won’t hear from LeBron for weeks. He’ll be inactive on social media, won’t publish any new podcasts and the paparazzi won’t be able to find him anywhere.

Then randomly, two weeks before training camp, LeBron will go on his podcast with JJ Redick, Mind The Game, and will announce that he’ll be joining the Golden State Warriors for one season to play with his son, Bronny James, and Steph Curry.

The Warriors will have a mediocre regular season, placing fourth in the West, as the superstars of the team won’t play many games (they’re old).

But they’ll turn it up in the playoffs.

They’ll blast through every single team and somehow make it to the NBA Finals.

The media and the fans will once again praise them like they’re Greek Gods.

The Warriors will feel the energy of the fans and beat their opponents in Game 6, winning the NBA Championship.

LeBron will win Finals MVP and during his speech, he’ll announce his retirement and that he’s passing the torch to his son, Bronny.

And this is my outrageously ridiculous prediction of how LeBron’s career will end.
