Was The 2024 NBA Finals Rigged?

Were the Celtics assisted by the league?

The Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks Monday night to win the NBA championship.

It was a dominant victory through and through and this leaves me with the question of: Is the NBA rigged? Because some of the events were pretty suspicious.

Here’s why I think the league scripted this entire series.

First off, this Boston Celtics team won the title on the same day (June 17) of the organization’s last title victory, which was 16 years ago.

Additionally, this win gives the Celtics 18 titles, breaking their tie with the Los Angeles Lakers and most likely intensifying their decades-long rivalry. It also gave Boston the most championships in the NBA.

Coincidence? I think not.

Also, Kevin Garnett and Jayson Tatum had the exact same celebration at the end of the game. There’s no way Tatum, who was full of adrenaline and joy, could’ve remembered Garnett’s epic roar at that moment and copied him word for word.

And what’s up with Payton Prichard making two half-court buzzer beaters in this series?

Al Horford

But the one major piece of evidence I have is Al Horford.

Horford, who turned 38 earlier this month, started every game in this series and averaged 30 minutes a game.

He also played well, averaging 7.0 points with 52 percent shooting, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals a game.

He was running up and down the court, and moving all over the floor to provide help defence and interrupt passing lanes.

This is suspicious to me because I’m 38 and I could barely play a pick-up game up to 11 points.

By the end of the game, I’m panting and crying for air. My lungs and neck hurt and my lower back and knees ache.

So I don’t believe for one second that Al Horford can perform the way he did at that age… unless he’s not actually 38, which I could believe because he does not look a day over 31.

Another thing is that -you remember that one play when Derrick White had his face flattened on the ground and he chipped multiple teeth? It was gruesome.

But how can a guy, who got flattened like he was Stan Podolak from Space Jam, remain in the game and have a fantastic performance?

Space Jam

White recorded 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block while looking like Elmer Fudd after he got attacked by Bugs Bunny. His entire mouth was aching and he still played that well?

That’s a bit suspicious.

Final Thoughts

But jokes aside, the Boston Celtics did everything right.

They smothered the Mavs defensively, controlled the pace and shared the ball. They played as a unit on both ends of the floor and this cohesion discombobulated their opponents.

Additionally, the Mavs were inexperienced.

The majority of their roster haven’t been to the NBA Finals and some of them have never competed in the playoffs.

They were in the same situation as the Boston Celtics two years ago, in 2022, when they played the Golden State Warriors.

So in a few short years, I’m sure we’ll see the Mavericks back in the Finals.

But, congrats to the Celtics! And congrats to the Finals MVP, Jaylen Brown!
